Maa Strong: Because Healing Is the First Step to Strength – Maternal Fitness Educator Sucheta Pal

As a maternal fitness educator with over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry of India, I’ve worked closely with new mothers from all walks of life- and I’ve seen one common thread: the moment a baby is born, a mother’s needs quietly take a back seat. Between sleepless nights, feeding schedules, and societal pressure to 'bounce back,' many women are left asking: What about me?

Taking cue from the sentiments, I recently joined hands with Onlymyhealth & Herzindagi on their thoughtful campaign, and created Maa Strong to change that narrative.

Because healing after childbirth isn’t optional—it’s essential. And postpartum recovery isn’t just about losing weight or fitting into pre-pregnancy jeans. It’s about reclaiming your body, your strength, and your identity—gently, mindfully, and with expert support every step of the way.

Why Postpartum Fitness Matters More Than Ever

Postpartum isn’t the 'after' of pregnancy—it’s a new beginning. But without proper care, many mothers struggle with pain, fatigue, and emotional overwhelm long after delivery.

That’s where focused postpartum fitness routine becomes vital—not as a quick fix, but as a pathway to long-term healing. Here’s what I focus on with my clients, and what I’ll be sharing with you through Maa Strong:

Core Rebuilding: During pregnancy and childbirth, your core muscles stretch and weaken significantly. Without targeted support, this can lead to back pain, poor posture, and even hernias. The right movements can help you rebuild from your foundation.

Pelvic Floor Recovery: Whether you had a vaginal delivery or a C-section, your pelvic floor takes a hit. Re-strengthening it helps improve bladder control, ease discomfort, and support your body for years to come.

Internal Healing of Body Functions: From digestive sluggishness to circulation and hormonal shifts, the internal systems of your body need care too. Breathwork and gentle, functional movement can help restore energy and balance from within.

This isn’t just fitness. This is foundational recovery.
